ഈ വര്‍ഷം അവസാനം നടക്കുന്ന ലോകകപ്പിനുള്ള ഒരുക്കത്തിനാണ് ടീം ഇന്ത്യ. നിലവില്‍ വെസ്റ്റ് ഇന്‍ഡീസില്‍ പര്യടനത്തിലാണ് ടീമിപ്പോള്‍. ഏകദിന പരമ്പരയിലെ അവസാന മത്സരം കളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ് ടീമിപ്പോള്‍.
ലോകകപ്പിന് മുന്നോടിയായി ഒരുപാട് യുവതാരങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അവസരം കൊടുക്കാന്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ടീം ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ താരങ്ങളുടെ അതിപ്രസരം കാരണം ടീമില്‍ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും അവസരം ലഭിക്കാറില്ല. വിന്‍ഡീസിനെതിരെയുള്ള അവസാന മത്സരത്തില്‍ ടീമിലിടം നേടുമെന്ന് കരുതിയ താരമാണ് പേസ് ബൗളര്‍ അര്‍ഷ്ദീപ് സിങ്.
എന്നാല്‍ അവസാന മത്സരത്തിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അവസരം ലഭിച്ചില്ല.
യോര്‍ക്കറുകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് എതിര്‍ ടീമിനെ ഞെട്ടിക്കാന്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് സാധിക്കാറുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യക്കായി വെറും ഒരു മത്സരം കളിച്ച താരത്തിന് ടീമില്‍ മികച്ച പ്രകടനം സൃഷ്ടിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കുമെന്നാണ് ആരാധകര്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നത്. അവസാന മത്സരത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അവസരം ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന് എല്ലാവരും കരുതിയരുന്നു. അത് നടക്കാത്തതില്‍ രോഷത്തിലാണ് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ആരാധകര്‍.
ഇത്രയും ടാലെന്റുണ്ടായിട്ടും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കളിപ്പിക്കാത്തത് മോശമാണെന്നാണ് ആരാധകരുടെ വാദം. ബെഞ്ചിലിരുത്താനാണോ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ടീമില്‍ എടുത്തതെന്നാണ് ആരാധകരുടെ ചോദ്യം.
