ഏഷ്യാ കപ്പിലെ രണ്ടാം മത്സരത്തില്‍ ഹോങ്കോങ്ങിനെതിരെ ഇന്ത്യ മികച്ച വിജയം നേടിയിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യ സ്വന്തമാക്കിയ 192 റണ്‍സ് പിന്തുടര്‍ന്ന ഹോങ്കോങിന് 152 റണ്‍സ് മാത്രമേ നേടാന്‍ സാധിച്ചുള്ളു. ഇതോടെ ഇന്ത്യ 40 റണ്‍സിന്റെ ആധികാരിക വിജയം കരസ്ഥമാക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
ഇന്ത്യക്കായി ബാറ്റിങ്ങില്‍ സൂര്യകുമാര്‍ യാദവായിരുന്നു മികച്ച പ്രകടനം പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. 26 പന്ത് നേരിട്ട് ആറ് ഫോറും ആറ് സിക്‌സറുമടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹം 68 റണ്‍സ് സ്വന്തമാക്കി. മുന്‍ നായകന്‍ വിരാട് കോഹ്‌ലി 44 പന്തില്‍ 59 റണ്‍സ് സ്വന്തമാക്കി മികച്ച പിന്തുണ നല്‍കി.

ഹോങ്കോങ്ങിനെതിരെ 192 റണ്‍സ് സേഫാണെന്നാണ് ഇന്ത്യ കരുതിയത്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ബൗളിങ് യൂണിറ്റ് പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ച നിലവാരം പുലര്‍ത്തിയില്ല. യുവ ബൗളര്‍മാരായ അര്‍ഷ്ദീപ് സിങ്ങും ആവേശ് ഖാനും കണക്കിന് അടി വാങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
നാല് ഓവര്‍ പന്തെറിഞ്ഞ ഇരുവരും വളരെ എക്‌സ്‌പെന്‍സീവായിരുന്നു. അര്‍ഷ്ദീപ് നാല് ഓവറില്‍ 11 എക്കോണമി റേറ്റില്‍ 44 റണ്‍സ് വഴങ്ങിയപ്പോള്‍ ആവേശ് ഖാന്‍ 53 റണ്‍സാണ് വഴങ്ങിയത്. 13.25 റണ്‍സാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ എക്കോണമി റേറ്റ്. ആരാധകരുടെ ഇടയില്‍ നിന്നും രണ്ട് പേര്‍ക്കും നല്ല ട്രോളുകളും വിമര്‍ശനങ്ങളുമാണ് ലഭിക്കുന്നത്.
ഇവരെകൊണ്ടൊന്നും ലോകകപ്പിന് പോകരുതെന്നും വിരാട് ഇവരേക്കാള്‍ നന്നായി ബൗള്‍ ചെയ്യുമെന്നുമൊക്കെയാണ് ആരാധകര്‍ പറയുന്നത്. കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ ട്രോളുകള്‍ ലഭിക്കുന്നത് ആവേശ് ഖാനാണ്.
വിരാടിന്റെയും സൂര്യയെടയും ഫിഫ്റ്റിയേക്കാള്‍ മികച്ച ഫിഫ്റ്റ് ആവേശിന്റേതാണെന്നാണ് ആരാധകര്‍ ട്രോളുന്നത്.
ആവേശ് ഖാന്റെ ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള മോശം പ്രകടനം ഇതാദ്യമായല്ല. എന്നാല്‍ അര്‍ഷ്ദീപ് ഇത്രയും എക്‌സ്‌പെന്‍സീവ് ആകാറില്ല. ആവേശ് ഖാന്റെ ഈ വര്‍ഷത്തെ എക്കോണമി റേറ്റ് 9.10 ആണെന്നുള്ളത് ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്.
