കൊച്ചി: മുന്‍ മന്ത്രിയും ജെ.എസ്.എസ് നേതാവുമായിരുന്ന കെ.ആര്‍ ഗൗരിയമ്മയ്ക്ക് ആദരാഞ്ജലികള്‍ അര്‍പ്പിച്ച് വനിതാ സിനിമാ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുടെ സംഘടനയായ ഡബ്ല്യു.സി.സി.
എല്ലാ പെണ്‍പോരാട്ടങ്ങളുടെയും തായ് വേര് അമ്മയാണ്. എല്ലാ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പോരാട്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കും അത് ഗൗരിയമ്മയാണെന്നും ഡബ്ല്യു.സി.സി പറഞ്ഞു.
ഓരോ പെണ്‍പോരാട്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കും പ്രചോദനമായിരിക്കുന്ന കെടാത്ത വഴിവിളക്കാണ്. എത്ര പ്രതികൂല സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിലും സ്ത്രീകള്‍ പൊരുതി നില്‍ക്കേണ്ടത് എങ്ങിനെയാണെന്ന രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാഠമാണ് ആ ജീവിതം.
ഗൗരിയമ്മയുടെ ജീവിതം നമ്മുടെ സിനിമകളിലും പല രൂപത്തില്‍ വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ ആണത്തങ്ങള്‍ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തില്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തോ അത് തന്നെയാണ് സിനിമയിലും ചെയ്തത്. പെണ്‍ സിനിമയുടെ പ്രസക്തിയാണ് അതെല്ലാം ഓര്‍മ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്നും ഡബ്ല്യു.സി.സി പറഞ്ഞു.

എല്ലാ പെണ്‍പോരാട്ടങ്ങളുടെയും തായ് വേര് അമ്മയാണ്. എല്ലാ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പോരാട്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കും അത് ഗൗരിയമ്മയാണ്.
കേരളത്തിന്റെ വിപ്ലവ നക്ഷത്രം , ആദ്യത്തെ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് മന്ത്രിസഭയിലെ ഏക വനിതാ അംഗം, 1957ലെ വിഖ്യാതമായ ഭൂപരിഷ്‌ക്കരണ നിയമവും കുടിയൊഴിപ്പിക്കല്‍ നിരോധന നിയമവും ഗൗരിയമ്മയുടെ സംഭാവനകളുടെ തുടക്കം മാത്രം.
അന്ന് ഗൗരിയമ്മ കേരളത്തിലെ ദളിതര്‍ക്കും സ്ത്രീകള്‍ക്കും പട്ടിണി പാവങ്ങള്‍ക്കും എന്തായിരുന്നു എന്നറിയാന്‍ ആ മന്ത്രിസഭക്ക് എതിരെയും ഗൗരിയമ്മക്ക് എതിരെയും മത ജന്മിത്ത പുരുഷമേധാവിത്വ ശക്തികള്‍ നടത്തിയ വിമോചനസമരത്തിലെ മുദ്രാവാക്യങ്ങള്‍ നാം ഓര്‍ത്തിരിക്കണം.
‘ പാളേക്കഞ്ഞി കുടിപ്പിക്കും. തമ്പ്രാനെന്നു വിളിപ്പിക്കും .’
‘ ഗൗരിച്ചോത്തി പെണ്ണല്ലേ , പുല്ലു പറിയ്ക്കാന്‍ പൊയ്ക്കൂടേ .’
ഗൗരിച്ചോത്തി തളര്‍ന്നില്ല. ആ പിടിച്ചു നില്‍ക്കല്‍ ഓരോ സ്ത്രീയ്ക്കും പാഠമാണ് . വനിതാ കമ്മീഷന്‍ രൂപീകരണ ബില്‍ മുതല്‍ ചരിത്രം തിരുത്തിയ എത്രയോ നേട്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അവര്‍ ചുക്കാല്‍ പിടിച്ചു. ആദിവാസി വനനിയമം അട്ടിമറിക്കാന്‍ കേരള നിയമസഭയില്‍ ഭരണപക്ഷവും പ്രതിപക്ഷവും ഒത്ത് വോട്ട് ചെയ്തപ്പോള്‍ അതിനെ എതിര്‍ത്ത് ഒറ്റക്ക് വോട്ട് ചെയ്ത ധീരതയുടെ പേരാണ് ഗൗരിയമ്മ . കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യ വനിതാ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പദം അവരില്‍ നിന്നും തട്ടി നീക്കാന്‍ ആണത്ത രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിന് കഴിഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും ഗൗരിയമ്മ ഒരു തോറ്റ ജീവിതമല്ല.

ആ ധീരത നമുക്കും ഒരു മാതൃകയാണ്. അത്തരം പോരാട്ടങ്ങളുടെ ഊര്‍ജ്ജമാണ് ഡബ്ലു.സി.സി.ക്കും മുന്നോട്ടുപോകാനുള്ള കരുത്ത് .
ഗൗരിയമ്മക്ക് ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ അഭിവാദ്യങ്ങള്‍ . നിങ്ങള്‍ മരിക്കില്ല. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില്‍ ജീവിക്കും. ആ പോരാട്ടം ഞങ്ങള്‍ തുടരുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും!

True that when it comes to mothering a revolution pertaining to women in politics and Kerala’s political transformations, it has always been Gouri Amma who anchored that cause with unflinching dignity.
The absolute star of Kerala political landscape and the only female member of the first Communist cabinet – K R Gouri Amma! The famous Land Reforms Act of 1957 and the Prohibition of Eviction Act were only the beginning of her contribution to the landscape of the State. She stood by and for the Dalits, women and the poor. For this she faced immense backlash.
Gouri Amma paid no heed. Her invincible determination is a lesson for every woman. She has been at the helm of so many historically significant achievements since the Women’s Commission formation bill.
When the ruling party and the opposition voted together in the Kerala Legislative Assembly to overturn the Adivasi Forest Act, hers alone was the name of the courage who voted against it. Although the male-dominated political agendas succeeded in nsatching from her the post of the first woman Chief Minister, she never backed down. She is an inexhaustible beacon of inspiration for every women’s struggle. Her life is an incredible political lesson of how women must fight in the face of adversity.
Gouri Amma’s life has come in many forms in our films as well. However, the dilution and misrepresentation of her true spirit reminds us of the relevance of correct representation of women in cinema. She has survived and thrived as the greatest female role model of the century; on how to overcome patriarchal stigmas and oppression. Her courage is a powerful reminder and source of strength for us to move forward.
We will continue to celebrate you, Gouri Amma. You will never leave. You will live on in our hearts. We will march ahead on the path you’ve forged for us all!
