പ്രഭാസ് ചിത്രം ആദിപുരുഷിനെതിരെയും ബോയ്‌കോട്ട് ക്യാമ്പെയ്ന്‍. ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ വി.എഫ്.എക്‌സിലെ പോരായ്മകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയാണ് ബോയ്‌കോട്ട് ക്യാമ്പെയ്ന്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
രാമായണത്തില്‍ രാമനേയും രാവണനേയും വിവരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതില്‍ നിന്നും തികച്ചും വ്യത്യസ്തമായാണ് ആദിപുരുഷില്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. രാമന്‍ ശാന്തരൂപനും ദയാലുവുമാണെന്നും എന്നാല്‍ ആദിപുരുഷിലെ രാമനെ അഗ്രസീവായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും നെറ്റിസണ്‍സ് പറയുന്നു. ആദിപുരുഷിലെ രാവണന് ഇസ്‌ലാമിക് രൂപം കൊടുത്തതിലും വിമര്‍ശനങ്ങള്‍ ഉയരുന്നുണ്ട്.
പ്ലാനെറ്റ് ഓഫ് ദി ഏപ്‌സ്, അവഞ്ചേഴ്‌സ്, ഗെയിം ഓഫ് ത്രോണ്‍സ് വെബ് സീരിസ് എന്നിവയില്‍ നിന്നെല്ലാം കോപ്പിയടിച്ച രംഗങ്ങളാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലുള്ളതെന്നും ബോയ്‌കോട്ടിന് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവര്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നു. 1987ല്‍ പുറത്ത് വന്ന രാമാനന്ദ് സാഗറിന്റെ രാമയണത്തോട് കിടപിടിക്കാന്‍ പോലും ആദിപുരുഷിനാവില്ലെന്നും സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയില്‍ വിമര്‍ശനമുയരുന്നുണ്ട്.
2020ല്‍ ജെ.എന്‍.യു യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയില്‍ നടന്ന അക്രമത്തെ കുറിച്ച് കൃതി സെനണ്‍ ചെയ്ത ട്വീറ്റും ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചയാവുന്നുണ്ട്. പൗരത്വ ഭേദഗതി നിയമത്തിനെതിരെ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളെ മാസ്‌ക് അണിഞ്ഞെത്തിയ സംഘം കാമ്പസില്‍ കയറി ആക്രമിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. എ.ബി.വി.പി അടക്കമുള്ള ആര്‍.എസ്.എസ് സംഘടനയിലെ അംഗങ്ങളാണ് ആക്രമണം നടത്തിയതെന്ന് ഫോട്ടോകളും വീഡിയോകളും സഹിതം പുറത്ത് വിട്ട് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ അന്ന് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
‘ജെ.എന്‍.യുവില് സംഭവിച്ചത് കണ്ട് എന്റെ ഹൃദയം തകരുന്നു. മാസ്‌ക് അണിഞ്ഞ ഭീരുക്കള്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളെയും അധ്യാപകരേയും ഭയപ്പെടുത്തി ഭീകരാന്തരീക്ഷം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു. രാഷ്ട്രീയ അജണ്ടകള്‍ക്കായി പല കളികള്‍ നടക്കുന്നു. അക്രമം ഒന്നിനും പരിഹാരമല്ല. നമുക്ക് എങ്ങനെയാണ് ഇത്രയും മനുഷ്യത്വമില്ലാതെ പെരുമാറാനാവുന്നത്,’ എന്നായിരുന്നു അക്രമത്തില്‍ പ്രതികരിച്ച് കൃതി ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തത്.
