ഐ.എസ്.ആര്‍.ഒ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായിരുന്ന നമ്പി നാരായണന്റെ ജീവിതം സിനിമയാവുന്ന റോക്കെട്രി ദി നമ്പി ഇഫക്ട് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിനായി ഏറെ കൗതുകത്തോടെയാണ് സിനിമാ പ്രേമികള്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. നടന്‍ മാധവന്‍ ആദ്യമായി സംവിധായകനാവുന്ന ചിത്രത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം തന്നെയാണ് നമ്പി നാരായണനെ സ്‌ക്രീനില്‍ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും.
ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ചൊവ്വാ ദൗത്യവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടുള്ള മാധവന്റെ പരാമര്‍ശം സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചയാവുകയാണിപ്പോള്‍. ഐ.എസ്.ആര്‍.ഒ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞര്‍ പഞ്ചാംഗം നോക്കിയാണ് റോക്കറ്റ് വിക്ഷേപിച്ചതെന്നായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു വീഡിയോയില്‍ പറഞ്ഞത്.
‘സോളിഡ്, ലിക്വിഡ്, ക്രയോജെനിക് എന്നിങ്ങനെ മൂന്ന് എഞ്ചിന്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ ചൊവ്വയുടെ ഭ്രമണ പഥത്തിലേക്ക് റോക്കറ്റ് വിക്ഷേപിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ഇതുപയോഗിച്ച് റോക്കറ്റ് നേരെ ചൊവ്വയില്‍ പോയി ഒരു വര്‍ഷം ഭ്രമണപഥത്തില്‍ ചുറ്റും. എന്നാല്‍ മൂന്ന് എഞ്ചിനുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക ശേഷി ഇന്ത്യക്കില്ലായിരുന്നു.
എന്നാല്‍ വിവിധ ഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍, അവയുടെ ഗുരുത്വാകര്‍ഷണം, സൂര്യന്റെ ജ്വാലകളുടെ വ്യതിചലനം എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള എല്ലാ വിവരങ്ങളും അടങ്ങിയ ആകാശ ഭൂപടം പഞ്ചാംഗത്തിലുണ്ട്. 1000 വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പ് തന്നെ ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ ഇതെല്ലാം കണക്ക് കൂട്ടി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2014ല്‍ പഞ്ചാംഗത്തിലെ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ വെച്ച് കൃത്യമായ മൈക്രോസെക്കന്‍ഡില്‍ വിക്ഷേപണം നടത്താന്‍ നമുക്കായി. നമ്മുടെ റോക്കറ്റ് ഭൂമിയെ ചുറ്റി, ചന്ദ്രനെ ചുറ്റി, വ്യാഴത്തിന്റെ ഉപഗ്രഹത്തെ ചുറ്റി അങ്ങനെ പലയിടത്ത് നിന്നുമുള്ള ഗുരുത്വാകര്‍ഷണത്തെ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ചൊവ്വയിലെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു,’ എന്നാണ് വീഡിയോയില്‍ മാധവന്‍ പറയുന്നത്.

There’s something called gravitational slingshot which uses gravity of any solar system object to alter the path and speed of a rocket to save fuel & reduce mechanical stress on it.

Dont know what panchangam is but NASA sent the Voyager I and II missions in 1977 using gravity assist maneuver all the way from Earth to Pluto and past the Solar system. There’s no need to go to Jupiter to go to Mars. He probably got carried away lol
