ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിനെതിരായ ടി-20 പരമ്പരയിലെ ആദ്യ മത്സരത്തിനുള്ള സ്‌ക്വാഡില്‍ സഞ്ജു സാംസണ്‍ ഇടംനേടിയിരുന്നു. വിരാട് കോഹ്‌ലിക്ക് പകരക്കാരനായാണ് സഞ്ജു ടീമില്‍ ഇടം നേടിയത്.
അയര്‍ലന്‍ഡിനെതിരെ നടന്ന മത്സരത്തിലെ ഉജ്ജ്വല പ്രകടനമാണ് താരത്തെ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിനെതിരെയുള്ള മത്സരത്തിലെ സ്‌ക്വാഡിലെത്തിച്ചത്. എന്നാല്‍ ആദ്യത്തെ ഒരു മത്സരത്തിന് മാത്രമാണ് സഞ്ജുവിനെ ടീമിലെടുത്തത്.
