കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം നടന്ന രാജസ്ഥാന്‍ റോയല്‍സ് – കൊല്‍ക്കത്ത നൈറ്റ് റൈഡേഴ്‌സ് മത്സരം അവസാനത്തോടടുക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നിരവധി വിവാദങ്ങളാണ് പിറവിയെടുത്തത്. രാജസ്ഥാന്‍ റോയല്‍സിന് വിജയിക്കാന്‍ മൂന്ന് റണ്‍സ് വേണമെന്നിരിക്കെ യശസ്വി ജെയ്‌സ്വാള്‍ സെഞ്ച്വറി നേടുന്നത് തടയാനായി നൈറ്റ് റൈഡേഴ്‌സിന്റെ റിസ്റ്റ് സ്പിന്നര്‍ സുയാഷ് ശര്‍മ മനപ്പൂര്‍വം വൈഡ് എറിയാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചതോടെയാണ് വിവാദങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തുടക്കമായത്.
സുയാഷ് വൈഡ് എറിയാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ട സഞ്ജു സാംസണ്‍ അത് ഡിഫന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്യുകയും ജെയ്‌സ്വാളിന് സെഞ്ച്വറിയടിക്കാനുള്ള വഴിയൊരുക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു.
ജെയ്‌സ്വാള്‍ 94ല്‍ നില്‍ക്കവെയായിരുന്നു സുയാഷ് ഈ വൈഡ് എറിയാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചത്. ഇത് ഡിഫന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്ത സഞ്ജു ബൗളറെ നോക്കി പുഞ്ചിരിക്കുകയും അടുത്ത ഓവറില്‍ സിക്‌സറടിച്ച് കളി ഫിനിഷ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ ജെയ്‌സ്വാളിനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു.

എന്നാല്‍ സുയാഷ് ബൗണ്ടറിയടിച്ച് രാജസ്ഥാന്‍ റോയല്‍സിനെ വിജയിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. സെഞ്ച്വറി നഷ്ടമായതിനെ കുറിച്ചൊന്നും ചിന്തിക്കാതെ ടീമിന്റെ വിജയമായിരുന്നു ജെയ്‌സ്വാള്‍ ആഘോഷിച്ചത്.
സുയാഷിന്റെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിയില്‍ സഞ്ജു അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നോക്കി പുഞ്ചിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ചെയ്തതെങ്കില്‍ ആരാധകര്‍ അത് സീരിയസായി തന്നെ എടുത്തിരുന്നു. സുയാഷും കൊല്‍ക്കത്ത ടീം ക്രിക്കറ്റിന്റെ സ്പിരിറ്റിന് ചേരാത്ത സമീപനമാണ് കൈക്കൊണ്ടതെന്നും ഇത് ഒരിക്കലും അംഗീകരിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കില്ലെന്നുമായിരുന്നു ആരാധകര്‍ പറഞ്ഞത്.
